School Council
At John Ray Infant School, our KS1 School Council plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community and responsibility amongst our pupils. The elected council, made up of enthusiastic and dedicated pupils, actively participates in various initiatives that benefit both the school and the wider community. This year, they were involved in interviewing candidates for a new teacher, providing valuable insights from a student's perspective. They also demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit by raising funds at our school fête, contributing significantly to school projects. Additionally, the council members assist in setting up for assemblies, ensuring everything runs smoothly and fostering a supportive environment. They represented the school brilliantly during a visit to our local Council Offices. Through these activities, our KS1 School Council not only develops important life skills but also makes a meaningful impact on our school community.
